Newport Fire Fighter's Association History

Newport Fire Fighter's Association is located at 9005 Brandon Road in Newport, Michigan. The association was formed in 1952.

Our motto is to help support fire training efforts for the members of Newport Volunteer Fire Department, assist in fire protection and prevention education, provide for local charitable contributions and to promote the social and recreational well-being of the citizens of Newport, Michigan.

Your patronage has helped Newport Fire Fighters Association to support the following organizations during the past year (2010):

	St Anne’s Food Closet
	Huron Valley Girl Scouts
	Relay for Life
	St. Charles School Auction PTG
	Jefferson Athletic Club
	Sponsor local kids soccer team
	American Cancer Society Relay for Life
	Monroe Goodfellows Organization
	Frenchtown Girls Softball Team
	Frenchtown Fire Department Safety Materials
	Gifts & food to three families at Christmas
	Cub Scout troop 597
	Newport Fire Fighters Association Members also personally donated over $500 to support a local family at Christmas
	Newport Fire Fighters Association is the sole sponsor the annual Newport Christmas Parade, and Community Holiday Party following the Parade. We provide “goody bags” for the children, and hotdogs, chili, pop and cookies for all in attendance.
	Newport Fire Fighters Association funds all the purchases of Christmas decorations for the town of Newport and association members volunteer their time to put the decorations up and take them down annually.

Our Homecoming Festival (held in June) is our main fundraiser that allows us to make the above donations possible. We thank you for all your patronage at our festival, which helps us to help others.
